Michele Maclure, Culinary Herbalist lives in Windham, Ct. She has been herb gardening for many years and enjoy cooking with herbs that she grows. Her garden beds include; culinary herb, medicine wheel, perennial flower beds, bird and butterfly, water garden and labyrinth garden.

Growing Lavender in Connecticut with David Catherman

Discussion on the creation and maintenance of Sleepy Bee Lavender Farm, a small-scale lavender farm in South Glastonbury. Emphasis will be on cultivation requirements, prepping the soil, planting, harvesting, pruning and what to do with all that lavender—including distillation!

By becoming increasingly aware of diversity loss & forest depletion, sustainable production policies & indigenous community welfare we can become conscious consumers of essential oils, carrier oils and hydrosols. This class will discuss how we can better educate ourselves.

Tony(a) Lemos, is director of Blazing Star Herbal School in Ashfield MA, graduate of Natural Therapy at Raworth College in England and has apprenticed with prominent American herbalists including Susun Weed. She has taught at Green Nations Gathering, the Flower Essence Conference and the Women’s Herbal Conference. She also maintains a clinical aromatherapy and herbal practice in Western Massachusetts.
